Once in awhile I get in a down mood, there's so many loved ones gone.
Yet then in a moment I get a glimpse inside, and I know they've just gone home.
They just paved the way for us, as our Precious Lord did before.
Then when we go, and we'll be together again, we'll never be apart anymore.
Sometimes I think of how many are gone, and the sorrow I can hardly bear,
Until I realize how very soon, that we'll have a glorious meeting there.
Mama, Daddy, and grandparents too, Nieces, nephews, and friends galore,
What a grand old gathering we'll have, when we meet them on that golden shore.
With Jesus leading us down that street of gold, that He paved Himself He'll be,
Feeding all His children from the Tree of Life, that He planted for you and me.
Singing His Praises, worshiping Our King, dances of joy right out in the street.
Angels abiding close to The Savior, ushering in all for their loved ones to meet.
He said our time is very short here, He'll come in the twinkling of an eye,
But as we sat here and worry and fret, It seems the time will never go by.
He must be thinking "hush" little children, You want, you know not what
Just be patient, until I come for you, to bring you to this Heavenly spot.
Long ago, before I left you, I Promised you I'd go and prepare you a place.
Were it not so I would have told you, so be still and be full of My grace.
There's gems up here of rubies, and gold and there's Pearls covering the gate.
So just live for me, I'm coming back soon, it shan't be long you'll have to wait.
