My Garden Fair

I planted a garden in my yard,
With sorts of flowers plain, and rare.
And oh what an awesome reward,
Of the sweet fragrance everywhere.

I named each one as I would a child,
After friends who would a cutting to me impart.
I found with the charm and glory after awhile,
The garden was also growing in my heart.

There were little humming birds flying about,
Sucking the nectar that they might live.
In awesome wonder I could almost shout,
At the blessings our Lord did give.

With blossoms of every color growing there,
By His wonderful mercy He brought to live.
And He placed them in my loving care,
Because of the love He knew To them I'd give.

I looked again deep down inside my heart,
At the brilliant garden growing there.
And with not even one could I ever part,
There were blossoms of many colors rare.

Dedicated to my husband Bill for all the hard
work he did for me in my flower garden.

Thank you darling with all my heart.
