All the way until today, I never knew this kind of Love,
Until I met Jesus, my Savior, from in my heart and up above,
He is my first love, He will ever be my light to shine,
That I may walk in the direction of, He who is Glory Divine.

That I might be able to see all things more clearly,
And that I will learn to love my brethren more dearly,
Let me forgive, as I am forgiven, give to the widows and poor, alms,
And not forgetting to sing the wondrous praises of Psalms.

Which He taught us by His Holy Spirit in His Holy word,
Things so gloriously wonderful, I had never heard,
Blessed be His name forever, may His praises sing on,
Showing us the day, lighting the way, for us to go home.

How did I manage ere I knew Him? My spirit was low,
Until I heard His call deep inside my heart to get up and go,
Down to the Altar, to accept His free gift of Love forever,
And from that day Lord, my soul with Thee to keep, I do endeavor.
