Joy Cometh In the Morning

When through the valley of sorrow we have traveled, and won.
Look up for a brighter tomorrow, for it cometh with the risen SON,
He walks with us here in the depth of the valley, helps us overcome,
So joy cometh in the morning, when the race is truly won.

It will be long and hard, with troubles all around us, going on through,
But tomorrow will be brighter; joy will be with us, in all that we do,
Walking with our Savior, glorying all the way in His holy will,
But when this journey is over, His hands will be holding us still.

Oh! Joy in the morning, with His help, we’ll climb that mountain too,
For He is our guide and our helper in all the things we say and do,
How great our tomorrow, so filled with awesome, wondrous love,
Of a Savior who leads us from all harm, toward the Heaven above.

Come go with Him, He will lead you straight and hold your hand,
All the way through the valley, onward to the promised, Holy land,
That was given by the Father as His Son died on an old rugged cross,
That there would be joy in the morning, when we suffer no loss.

Climbing the mountain will help us see more clearly, tomorrow,
As we go onward for the one whose name is joy, not sorrow,
So there will be grace in the light of tomorrow's adorning,
And as we walk, trusting in Him, joy cometh in the morning.
