Jesus at the Cross

Let us remember Jesus on that old rugged cross.
He suffered long and hard, to take our own loss.
I praise Him now and forevermore, to be by His side.
He suffered lost blood that day, our sins in Him to hide

At the old cross, He took all our sin upon His own life.
How can we ever repay Him, if not to stir up strife?
He walked this old earth, and gave his life for all.
Let us think on His blessed love, and His love recall.

He was here on earth, to strive for all His children.
He loved us all, and paved the way for all too truly win.
He was the Son of our God above; He was sin free.
Look at our hearts love for Him; Let us ever love Thee.

Glorious the day shall be, when He comes for His own.
I pray it will be all; none to ever lose his glorious throne.
Teach our hearts to surrender Lord, to our Lord above.
So we may ever be with Him, there in Heaven above.

Lord let my loving words go to Him; standing there on High.
When my life here on earth is o'er, and I can be nearby.
Blessed be the sweet name of Jesus, now and evermore.
I pray to meet Him one day, there on Heaven’s shore.
