I'LL LIFT MINE EYES

I will lift mine eyes unto the hills, I will seek His help,
He made Heaven and earth, my soul He has kept.
He will not allow me to be harmed, neither will He slumber nor sleep,
My Lord will protect me. He will forever keep, His sheep.

The Lord is my keeper, on Him I will I ever depend,
He is the shade upon my right hand, He will forgive my sin,
He said the sun shall not smite me by day, nor the moon by night,
He will preserve me from evil, He'll keep my soul with all His might

He will preserve my going out and coming in, now and forever,
So unto the hills will I lift up mine eyes, my soul, He will not sever,
He will keep peace within my walls, He will stay with me always,
I will rest in the mansion He prepared, He will prosper my days.

So I will look unto the hills, from whence cometh my help,
Worship Him daily, remembering how my life and my soul He has kept,
He said He would prepare a place for me, and this I know is true,
He said before were it not so, would not I have told you?

Hear, my cry unto Thee my Lord, Throw my sins far, far away,
As far as the east is from the west, Lord even unto today,
I do the things that I would not, and do not the things that I would,
But when I looked unto the hills and knew Thee, I knew, You could.
