Reading my Bible, one day, I wondered, why count temptation as joy?
But once I read farther, I realized this way every man, woman, girl or boy
Could learn the way to flee temptation, by God trying each and all
Giving us patience through the trying of our faith and on us doth call.

He delivers us from temptation as we go to Him with sincere heart
Asking, "Father deliver me and from Thee I will never, ever part.
Thou art my foundation and I count it all joy, if it pleases Thee
To toil for patience's sake and nearer and nearer with Thee to be."

Let us ask Him, if we lack wisdom. He will not put us asunder
Lest we go out, on our own, and fall hard, as we will surely blunder.
Ask. He will not upbraid us, but will liberally and gladly give.
For, as long as we give Him our heart's love, He will in us live.

We all fall into divers temptations, at some time in our Christian life.
But, if we follow Jesus, He will not let us utterly have earthly strife.
He will give us grit in our hearts. We shall be the salt of the earth,
Still savory and humble, as He knew us long before our earthly birth.

Come and partake of His wondrous love, my brethren, even today.
As without Gods Son, Christ Jesus, there is no other Heavenly way
To find the righteous path to Glory, with all the prestige of Jesus there
And count it as joy in our hearts and humbly go to our precious Lord in Prayer.
