I know that when trouble and sadness abound in our life today,
That Jesus is in the shadows, just a short distance away,
He lets us do His will, or sometimes we may not at all,
But In the shadows, He’s close enough to give us a call.

Sometimes to just love, though that He always chooses to do,
But sometimes He lets us wrestle for a while, seeking Him, finding Him too,
If we choose to seek Him soon, he will gently tell our heart what to know,
And give us His Blessings, as on our way we get up and onward go.

When dark storms come at us and fills our hearts with dread and fear,
Jesus is just aside in the shadows, letting us know He is ever near,
As a mother follows her little child to school, fearing she knows not what,
Its likened unto Jesus in the shadows of our fearful hearts blot.

Since He is near, why not all of us give up the fear and totally trust,
To be in step with Gods Son, I think this may be a must,
For He knows all, sees all and will readily share with each of us today,
And all we need do, is trust and follow in His footsteps all the way.

He’s the Lily of the Valley, the bright and morning star of all time,
Why not you let go of your petty grievances and Ill let go of mine,
I’m sure we can all love one another, no matter the color or language we speak,
After all, its our Sweet Jesus, while on bended knee we’re trying to seek.
