HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHIRLEY

Well it's time again, let everyone break out in song,
Today's my sister's birthday, don't seem it's been that long
Since she came into this world, with a kick and a bellowing cry,
And ever since that October day, she lets nothing pass her by.

She has a sweet inner Spirit, tries to help all those she can,
Has a wondrous humor, cheers on, her fellow man,
Calling "come on"!! To each and all, Let's go celebrate,
Midnight's not here, and dawn's not near, so let's not wait.

Who made the cake, with pink icing dripping down?
Reminds me of a little dress she wore, when once I took her to town.
Such a pretty little girl, long pretty curls hanging round,
Serve up the ginger ale gang, pretend it's champaign going down.

She's the life of the party, about that there's never a doubt,
At sweet sixteen, look at the guys that were always hanging about!!.
So blow out the candles, and serve up the cake,
Let's get this show on the road, a happy birthday to make.
